Slowly Falling

The American Idol “Movie Night” mesmerized me… specially when Kris Allen took the risk by picking a not so “popular song” in the mainstream. Actually, “Falling Slowly” grabs the Best Original song for the Oscars. It was featured in a 2006 movie Once a romantic story of two struggling artist in the direction of John Carney which stars Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova.

I’m really enjoying listening to this song over and over again. By the way there are a lot of good songs included in the movie soundtrack. But this one really caught me. I can say that a movie wouldn’t be complete without a perfect song. And just like in the reality, I hope I can find the best soundtrack of my life.

I don't know you

But I want you

All the more for that

Words fall through me

And always fool me

And I can't react

And games that never amount

To more than they're meant

Will play themselves out

Take this sinking boat

and point it home

We've still got time

Raise your hopeful voice

you have a choice

You'll make it now

Falling slowly,

eyes that know me

And I can't go back

Moods that take me

and erase me

And I'm painted black

You have suffered enough

And warred with yourself

It's time that you won

Take this sinking boat

and point it home

We've still got time

Raise your hopeful voice

you had a choice

You've made it now

Falling slowly

sing your melody

I'll sing along
